A risseü is a traditional pebble mosaic found in Liguria, Italy.
Craftsmen make these decorative stone pavements using smooth, rounded black and white stones. When I moved to Genoa from the US I was immediately struck by the beauty and simplicity of these mosaics. They create form out of contrast while stripping away any unnecessary details. A great brand design should be like a risseü. Easy to understand but impossible to forget.
